This doll comes dressed in a Beautiful Butterfly Qipao, the same dress that would have been worn by the ladies in the Rouyal Court of Qing.  Notice the detail in the garmet, the head piece with the gold accessories and tassels and even a handerchief in one of her hands. The designer of the doll cloths was recognized for her work in authnetic doll cloths design and detail bt y by the People's Republic iof China.
The Qipao Dress is a traditional Chinese dress. Visitors to China will see Chinese women dressed in similiar designed Qipaos in more formal gatherings. In some upscale restaurantes and tea houses, the hostess and waitresses will wear Qipaos. 


Qing Dynasty Doll. Who was Emperor Qing?  Emperor Qing is the Chinese Emperor responsible for building one of the Seven Wonders of the World – The Great Wall of China. Qing’s Terra-Cotta Army is thought to be the 8^th Wonder of the World. Only recently discovered, these 6000 plus life sized Terra Cotta Warriors guard the tomb of Qing.  Emperor Qing’s Tomb has yet to be opened. Folklore speaks of a flowing river of silver and other beautiful treasures.
